You encountered Amod Ka in the Lady’s Ward, and the encounter wasn’t pleasant. He’s a Mercykiller Bloodhound—one of the Red Death’s most relentless hunters—and when you crossed paths with him, he was in the middle of interrogating Fellik, a ghostly petitioner.

Amod Ka is cold, efficient, and utterly relentless. He was demanding to know the whereabouts of Fellik’s father, Valder, a fugitive who’s wanted by the Mercykillers for letting a bounty go. That decision cost other faction members their lives, and the Mercykillers don’t forgive. They don’t forget. And they sure as hell don’t show mercy.

Amod made it clear that this was faction business, and interference would have consequences. He warned you in no uncertain terms: unless you wanted to end up in a cell alongside Valder, you needed to step aside and let the law do its work. His tone was calm, measured, almost polite—but the threat underneath was unmistakable. Somehow you convinced him to stand down, but he was prepared to fight and he won’t forget it. The Mercykillers hunt to the ends of the multiverse, and Amod Ka is the kind of Bloodhound who never loses the scent.
