Annam

The god of giants

What You Know

Annam is the god of giants—also known as the All-Father, the creator and progenitor of giantkind across the multiverse. He’s an ancient and immensely powerful deity who embodies the might, hierarchy, and primal strength of giants.

You know of Annam primarily because Verdax the Resonant has asked for your help establishing a connection to him in the hidden realm. What “the hidden realm” means in this context isn’t entirely clear—it could be a demiplane, a forgotten corner of the Outer Planes, or some secret domain where Annam has withdrawn from the world.

Giants across the planes revere Annam, though his relationship with his divine children (the giant pantheon) and his mortal descendants (the giant races) is complex. Some legends say he’s withdrawn from active involvement in the affairs of giants, disappointed by their conflicts and failings. Others say he’s simply waiting, watching from afar, until the time is right to return.

Whatever Verdax needs you to do to establish this connection, it’s significant enough that an ancient, sentient bell trapped in Sigil believes it’s worth the effort. And if Verdax is willing to trade information about your past for it, then the task matters—not just to him, but perhaps to the balance of the planes themselves.

You don’t know much about giant theology or what Annam expects from mortals who seek him out, but you’re about to learn. One way or another.
