Verdax the Resonant
An ancient, sentient bell trapped in Sigil
What You Know
Verdax the Resonant is an ancient, sentient bell trapped somewhere in Sigil. You haven’t met him in person yet, but Morte passed along word that Verdax needs help and that the ancient bell might know something about your past in exchange.
From what you’ve heard, Verdax hums with cosmic awareness and knowledge accumulated over ages. He’s not just a bell; he’s a being of ancient power and memory, resonating with the truths of the multiverse. Why he’s trapped in Sigil, and what keeps him bound, is unclear.
Morte seemed to think this is worth your time, and given how cryptic everything about your deaths and rebirths has been, Verdax might actually have answers. Or at least, he might have pieces of the puzzle that no one else does.
The favor Verdax wants is specific: he needs someone to establish a connection to Annam, the god of giants, in the hidden realm. What that connection entails whether it’s a ritual, a message, or something more complex you’ll only learn when you meet him.
In Sigil, knowledge is currency, and ancient beings like Verdax deal in truths that most cutters can’t even comprehend. He wasn’t willing to trade direct info, but he was willing to teach you more about your affliction and Calcedony made the trade (and got an ancient bell splinter in return)
You’re heading back to Sigil to meet with Verdax. What you’ll learn and what it’ll cost you remains to be seen.
